About the Project
The client is the national standards body of the United Kingdom that produces technical standards on a wide range of products. The client commissioned ESC to review and modify the regulatory aspects of the client’s work environments that may contribute to worker’s health & safety.
Our Approach
The project required ESC to modify the existing environment, health & safety (EHS) programmes at the client’s facility and include regulatory requirements that apply to the facility’s activities. The project consists of redlining the following six (6) existing programs:
- Injury and illness prevention
- Emergency Action Plan
- Hazard Communication
- Indoor Air Quality
- Universal Waste and Recycling
- Ergonomics
These programmes have been developed to comply with the requirements of the regulations of various jurisdictions within Sri Lanka where the client facilities are located.
Outcome
ESC’s extensive experience in Asia and beyond has enabled us to deliver insightful solutions and address the client’s EHS challenges. The client was able to successfully implement the EHS programmes within the organisation and with contractors, as well as provide a structure that enabled the client to create a safe working environment, protect employee health and safety, and prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses in the workplace.
