Job Description

Reporting to the Senior / Principal Consultant, the Consultant’s main responsibility will be to support the team in the following areas:

  • Undertake environmental site assessment studies;
  • Support in managing projects;
  • Undertake sampling and monitoring works;
  • Preparing proposals, reports and project coordination (i.e., Environmental Baseline Studies, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Monitoring and Management Program).

Job Requirements

  • Open to fresh graduates, or with 1-2 years’ experience in an environmental consulting environment. Working experience in a consultant firm with exposure to EHS Compliance Audits would be an advantage.
  • Field experience in conducting site survey and sampling is advantageous.
  • Experience with client management and project management skills can be considered for more senior position.
  • Knowledge of Singapore’s Environmental, Health and Safety Laws and Regulations, PUB and NEA guidelines etc.
  • Strong analytical, planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion on complex & sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work well in a team with diverse backgrounds.

Assistant Consultant

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Consultant, the Associate Consultant’s main responsibility will be to prepare proposals and reports and undertake environmental projects (i.e., Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Monitoring and Management Program, Environmental Baseline Studies), while assisting in other business areas in Singapore and across Southeast Asia (i.e., Environmental, Health and Safety, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Soil and Investigation Remediation etc.).

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Report writing, preparation of slides, coordination with the internal team and external subcontractors, assist in project proposal preparation.
  • Carry out survey and monitoring works for biodiversity (terrestrial and/or marine), and physical environmental aspects for projects (water quality, air, vibration, noise quality, soil).
  • Project management and liaison with clients and government authorities as required.
  • Preparing proposals, obtaining quotations, and supporting as needed for projects relating to EHS, QRA, SIR etc.

Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Secondary duties will be to support ESC’s regional teams in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, delivering consultancy services covering IFC-standard Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Health & Safety, Risk, Transactional Due Diligence, Biodiversity, and Sustainability & Climate Change, for projects throughout Southeast Asia.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • For the Senior Consultant role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/management, or similar, and a Master’s degree in a relevant subject; you should have 8 to 10 years of consultancy experience in Hong Kong in one of more of our areas of service (listed above); and you should be either MHKIE (ENV) or MHKIQEP.
  • For the Consultant role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/ management, or similar, and a Master’s degree in a relevant subject would be advantageous; you should have at least 3 years of consultancy experience in one of more of our areas of service (listed above); and we can help you gain your MHKIEQP and other professional qualifications in due course
  • For the Assistant Consultant role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/management, or similar; you should be a “fresh” graduate, straight out of university, or someone with year or so of consultancy experience in one of more of our areas of service (listed above); and we will help you learn the ropes of the consultancy industry and give you exposure to a wide range of projects throughout Southeast Asia.

In addition, ALL candidates should:
