Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • At least 610 years’ experience in an environmental consulting environment. Work experience in a consultancy firm with exposure to EIA will be an advantage.
  • Field experience in conducting marine and/or terrestrial biodiversity surveys is advantageous.
  • A proven project managerliaison with client, project team, government authorities and subcontractors as required

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team as an on-site representative for the construction of a Data Center. Based in Johor, Malaysia, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supervising and overseeing EHS personnel from contractors involved in the project. The primary responsibilities include providing EHS support, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work full-time on-site at the construction site.
  • Provide EHS support in various areas, including Construction Site Safety audit protocols, with a detailed scope and deliverables.
  • Offer support and recommendations to our Client and our Client’s Contractors regarding the EHS management system established by both parties.
  • Review and provide advice on EHS instructions based on our Client’s in-house standards and Tenant-specific needs/requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant Malaysian regulatory requirements.
  • Review, advise, and comment on requirements, standards, and procedures related to construction health, safety, and environmental protection during the project construction.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor and control contractors’ work, identify EHS risks, make recommendations to the Client, Contractor, and Project Team, and monitor follow-up actions to prevent accidents.
  • Take a leading role in accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis, including environmental infringements. Identify underlying or contributory causes, make recommendations to Contractors to prevent similar incidents from reoccurring, and monitor the completion of remedial actions carried out by the Contractors.
  • Consolidate EHS data and information from the Main Contractor, such as Key Performance Indexes (“KPIs”), samples of photo records, documents, reports, and records to compile, analyse, and produce a weekly report.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in EHS/ Safety or relevant field

APAC EHS Manager (Semiconductor)

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team as an on-site representative for a semiconductor manufacturing company. Based in Penang, Malaysia, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a safety culture within the APAC region and implementing programs, policies, and assessments to ensure the Client complies with relevant local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • This role requires significant experience in managing environmental health and safety in a similar organization, preferably in the tech or semiconductor sectors, and the ability to lead change in the APAC region while gaining stakeholder support.
  • Develop and maintain compliance calendars to ensure timely updates to regulatory programs, policies, and training. 
  • Knowledgeable about regulatory programs like Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Hazard Communication, and keeping teams informed about their responsibilities. 
  • Oversee essential safety training in high-risk areas, including Chemical Management, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, Machine Guarding, Working at Heights, Lab/R&D Safety, and Process Safety Management, as well as other necessary programs.  
  • Support emergency response initiatives and first responder drills. 
  • Assist the Client by providing expert guidance on safety inspections and hazard identification as needed. They may collaborate with other partners across APAC for regulatory clarifications and ensure that the client’s stakeholders understand and adhere to all legal requirements.  
  • Implement performance metrics that need to be reviewed to identify trends and ensure safe work systems are in place for relevant activities, implementing necessary programs to enhance safety.  
  • Work collaboratively with the Client’s partners to achieve EHS plans, objectives, and targets. 

 

Job Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety and/or environmental policy across APAC. 
  • Approximately 5-10 years in the field as a Safety Professional. 
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing / high risk facilities / laboratory spaces.

  • Analyse and interpret baseline data in the context of conducting various studies such as scoping studies, ESIA, critical habitat assessments and development of implementing documents such as offset management strategy and biodiversity action plan.
  • Provide general support in undertaking activities such as environmental and social impact assessments such as ESIA, AMDAL, EMMP, Site-specific impact assessment, environmental and social due diligence, sustainability, report writing and monitoring field works for Indonesia and international projects.
