Singapore, July 3, 2025: ESC is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Tan as Associate Principal Consultant, further strengthening our EHS and Risk Management Advisory capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region. With over 20 years of experience spanning industries such as semiconductor, petrochemical, healthcare, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Michelle’s appointment further strengthens ESC’s ability to deliver practical, client-focused solutions across the Asia-Pacific region.
Michelle brings broad and deep expertise in a wide range of EHS domains, including Chemicals Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and EHS Compliance Audits. She has also led projects in occupational safety & health systems, industrial hygiene monitoring, indoor air quality assessment, risk assessments, and waste management. Her well-rounded background equips her to support clients in meeting regulatory obligations while enhancing workplace safety & health, and environmental performance.
Among her professional achievements, Michelle has successfully implemented containment verification for emerging technologies and maintained Environmental and Occupational Safety Management Systems with zero non-conformances. Her analytical, hands-on approach has delivered measurable improvements in EHS performance for her clients.
In her new role at ESC, Michelle will lead the EHS team in supporting clients in meeting EHS objectives. She will provide mentorship and training to consultants, oversee EHS regulatory compliance, and advise clients on complex EHS challenges. Michelle will also contribute to ESC’s SimplyEHS Legal Register product, helping businesses stay up to date with evolving regulatory requirements.
In Singapore, where companies are under increasing pressure to comply with evolving EHS regulations and demonstrate robust risk management practices, Michelle’s local experience will be a key asset. She has a deep understanding of Singapore’s regulatory frameworks—including the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Environmental Protection and Management Act, and hazardous substances regulations—and has supported businesses in aligning operations with local standards and best practices. Her insights will be especially valuable to companies navigating compliance, audits, and sustainability reporting requirements in high-risk sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and energy.
